OKSANA TANIUK
Art Critic. Graduated from the Karpenko-Karyi Institute of
Theatre Arts. Published in the journals Teatr, Tetral’naia
Zhizn’, Radians’ke literaturoznavstvo.
Worked at the A.A. Bakhrushin Theatre Museum (Moscow). Personal
exhibitions include: “The Theatrical Avant-Garde of the 1920s”,
“Destined to Flight. Nizhyns’kyi”, “Quiet! Rehearsal in Progress
(Anatolii Efros)”.
1993-1996 - Assistant, responsible for cultural policy, to
the General Director responsible for creative questions at the
Ukrainian Cultural Centre in Moscow. Principal projects include:
“Under the Sign of Les’ Kurbas”, “The Unknown Anatolii Petryts'kyi
Performance-Exhibition”, “Ukrainian Independence Day (transformation
of the Arbat into Andriivs’kyi Descent)”, “Year of Ukraine Festival”,
etc.
Since 1997 has worked at the Kurbas Centre; curator of the
following projects: “World Directors-Ukraine. Hryhorii Hladii”,
“AKADEMIA (VIAT) Innovative Systems of Theatrical Education”,
“Time Frescoes”-Iryna Pronina’s personal tapestry exhibition.
Curator and participant of the "Without a Director.
Improvisation on the Theme of an Unrealized Play"
project.
Hobbies: Tai Chi Chuan, horseback riding, writes prose.
